***Yes, it seems silly that I'd have to explain someone needs an audio input device to
use their computer as a telephone... but if I don't, someone will misunderstand. 
Then they'll think that Google/The Internet/all technology is bad. 
It's hard enough to get folks to believe in basic science, much less solid tech.
There seems to be a lot of misunderstandings out there.
