Mon, June 14      Summer Reading Club registration begins.

Tues, June 15     A Right Fine Life! Miss Jean and Wrinkles spin tales of the Old West. Ages 3-7.

Wed, June 16, 6-8 pm ABC’s of Children’s Writing with Beth Fowler.
See your stories and poems in print! 
$5.00 fee for 3 classes. Pre-registration required.

Thurs, June 17 Learning with Mazes. Maize master Hugh McPherson from Maize Quest in a fun program on mazes and math. Grades 2-5.

Sat, June 19 Decorate a garden stepping stone with the SYCL Garden Club. Fun for the whole family. $5.00 fee.  Pre-registration required.

Mon, June 21 Zoo America brings reptiles galore. Slithery, scaly, and interesting. Fun for the whole family.

Tues, June 22 Quit Buggin’ Me! Join a hungry caterpillar and a quiet cricket for a story time. Ages 2-5.

Wed, June 23 Nature in Your Backyard with Susan Dubbs of the Conservation District Office.  Hands-on activities for grades K-3.

Wed, June 23, 6-8 pm ABC’s of Children’s Writing with Beth Fowler. Second of three sessions.

Thurs, June 24 Checkmate! with Lisa Veltri. Chess basics for beginners (and their parents). Ages 7 and older.

Thurs, June 24, 2-4 pm Survival Trails @ Cyber Camp. Explore edible bugs, edible plants, and more on-line. Limited to 10 students (ages 8-13). Required registration begins Monday, June 21.

Mon, June 28, 10 am Adventure Trails with musician and storyteller Steven Courtney. Laugh at top-notch family entertainment. Held at St. John Lutheran Family Life Center in New Freedom.

Wed, June 30  Come to a Teddy Bears’ Picnic with Ann Johnston. Bring your favorite bear to this storytime. Ages 2-6.

Wed, June 30, 6-8 pm ABC’s of Children’s Writing with Beth Fowler. Last session in series.

Tues, July 6 Westward Ho! Jump into a Conestoga wagon full of stories and songs. Expect tall tales and audience participation. Ages 4-7.

Wed, July 7 Haliwa Saponi Dancers. Native American dancers and music with audience participation. Fun for the whole family. Win a book, too!

Thurs, July 8, 2-4 p.m. Happy Trails @ Cyber Camp. Explore path finding throughout the world. Limit 10 students (ages 8-13). Required registration begins Tues, July 6.

Tues, July 13 Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. Singer and storyteller Ray Owen presents rib-tickling tall tales, frontier ballads, and side-splitting stories. At St. John Family Life Center in New Freedom.

Wed, July 14 Musical adventures with Bonnie Rothert of Kindermusik. Lots of songs and musical instruments for group participation. Ages 3-7.

Wed, July 14, 6:30-7:30 Basics of Investing and Long-Term Care Insurance. A mini-seminar for adults. Speak with the experts from Edward Jones and G.E. Financial. Pre-registration required.

Thurs, July 15, 2-4 p.m. Voyager Trails @ Cyber Camp. Explore outer space and under the seas. Limit 10 students (ages 8-13). Required registration begins Mon, July 12.

Tues, July 20 Clown around with Big Mac and Dottie of the Tall Cedar Clowns. Clown history, clown make-up, and balloon animals!!! All ages.

Tues, July 20, 6:30-7:30 Improve your chess game with John Allen. Concentrated program on the five basic principles of chess. Win more matches! You must already know how to play chess. For ages 10-adult.

Wed, July 21 Be a Puzzle Master! Draw a picture and turn it into a professional looking puzzle. All ages.

Thurs, July 22, 2-4 p.m. Backyard Trails @ Cyber Camp. Explore wildlife found close to home. Limit 10 students (ages 8-13). Required registration begins Mon, July 19.

Thurs, July 22, 6:30-8:30 Out read, out think, out last!
Play “Library Survivor” with Maggie Ahrens.
Can you be among the last teens standing? Food and fun! Ages 13 and older.

Wed, July 28 Adventures in Magic with Dave Rojahn. Laugh and cheer at our magician’s amazing feats. Lots of audience participation.

Wed, July 28, 6:30-8:00 Make a theme scrapbook album with Mary Williams. Choose a theme (baby, school year, family heritage). First night of a 2-part activity. For teens and adults. Materials list available at front desk.

Thurs, July 29, 2-4 p.m. Inner Trails @ Cyber Camp. What makes you “YOU”? Personality tests, chatter bots, and more. Limit 10 students (ages 8-13). Required registration begins Monday, July 26.

Wed, August 4, 6:30-8:00 Make a theme scrapbook album with Mary Williams. Second night of 2-part activity.
